Life is Messy, but God is Good

Life is a few days of trouble a wise man once said. We know that is true because we have all experience our share. Gerald (my husband) and I have had to face some things I could have never imagined having to endure much less survive them. Some of you reading this have been through much worse while some are in a battle now.

The good news is God is not done. I have seen him restore what appeared lost forever, give strength where none existed and make a way when we could not find a path through on our own. Jesus said “I have told you these things so that you might have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart for I have overcome the world.” We are not alone! As the great journalist, Paul Harvey would say “and here’s the rest of the story.”. Life was never meant to be about just overcoming problems or merely surviving. Christ came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. He wants to bless us and he wants to use us to bless others. I can testify about God’s faithfulness during trials, but I can also testify about how he has given favor and opened doors I could have never opened on my own, sent others to support and walk alongside me, and helped me to do things far beyond my natural abilities and talents. As I seek him through prayer, bible study and just listening to his spirit I am continually learning more about his nature and his heart toward each and every one of us.

How about you...

Where are you at in your life?

What is your relationship with God like?

What are you needing?

I hope you will hit the subscribe button to receive my blogs, information on my ministry events and in time Mondays with Melanie on You Tube and FB. We can learn together how to meet God where we are and trust him with all the good and all the bad stuff that comes our way in this thing called life.
