Melanie is best known for her singing but she is an excellent speaker and teacher. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Life Coach she has worked with thousands of people facing difficulties in their lives. This experience has enabled Melanie to meet her audience where they are. She understands what life is like outside the church walls and the daily challenges and crisis it brings. She teaches practical ways to overcome obstacles and experience more of what God has for us. Believing many people want more for their lives but do not know how to obtain it, Melanie’s goal is to help her audience understands themselves better, explore God’s direction as well as teach them effective coping skills leading to a lifestyle that is in balance, joy filled and successful while facing daily challenges and crises.
“Life Balance” - We can be very busy with lots of things but focusing on the things that matter most is what creates a balance and effective life. (Defining priorities, Honing focus, Prioritizing your activities and time, Maintenance –health, finances relationships, belongings) This is usually done in a 1-2 day long conference setting and includes many of Melanie’s other teachings.
“Keeping Our Focus” - Deciding to do something is one thing. Following through is another. Anytime we attempt to do something that matters we will have difficulties that threaten to stop our efforts. Clarity about what we want to accomplish and not quitting when our plans appear derailed is the real secret to success. Improving Relationships- Relationships are a fact of life. We have to have them to live and thrive. Our families, our co-workers, our church families and the people we do business with all matter. How well we can communicate and work with others will directly impact how satisfying and effective our lives are.
“Overcoming Trouble Times” - Jesus told us that we will have adversity in life but that we can be of good cheer because He has overcome the world and that we can be over-comers through Him. That sounds good when things are going well but when our world is falling down around us it is a different story. This teaching provides encouraging examples of God bringing people through difficult times again and again as well as addresses practical coping skills to help us press on when we want to give up.
